A sweet and simple dessert – perfect for Valentine's Day or as a healthy snack anytime! This Caramel, Banana & Chocolate Date Bark combines juicy Medjool dates, creamy banana, a wonderfully smooth tahini caramel, and melt-in-your-mouth dark chocolate. 😍✨
Ingredients
📌 Base:
- 1 small banana, sliced
- 8 Sukkari dates , pitted and halved
🍯 Tahini Caramel:
- 1/3 cup tahini
- 1/4 cup acacia honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons of water
🍫 Chocolate layer:
- 80g dark chocolate
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 pinch of salt
preparation
1️⃣ Prepare the base
- Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Arrange the dates and banana slices on top and press them together lightly.
2️⃣ Tahini Caramel
- In a small bowl, thoroughly mix tahini, honey, vanilla extract and water.
- Pour the caramel evenly over the date and banana layer and spread it with a spoon.
- Place in the freezer for a few minutes.
3️⃣ Chocolate coating
- Place the chocolate and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Melt in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring in between. Alternatively, melt over a water bath (double boiler).
- Pour the melted chocolate over the frozen caramel and spread it with a spoon.
- Sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt.
4️⃣ Allow to harden
- Place the baking tray in the freezer for 3-4 hours.
- Once the chocolate has hardened, carefully peel off the baking paper and break it into pieces.
